Innovative trailer coupling head
We have recently developed our latest trailer coupling heads under the WK30 and WK35 model names, since we want these products to meet your needs in every way. These new coupling heads function perfectly even under extreme conditions. The new, robust design as well as the covered mechanics provide better protection and resistance against mud and ice. This is why we recommend them for use in harsh environments as well.
What improvements have we made?
Autóflex-KNOTT Ltd. already offers a wide range of coupling heads. We are now coming out with another model for several reasons.
The first thing that stands out the look itself. However, the new hearth-shaped handle design is not primarily a sentimental matter. Although, the Germans consider this a key motive as they refer to it as the “Herzgriff” model implying that is truly heartfelt.
How is the new coupling head different from the previous K27 and K35 models?
Sleek and innovative design
However, there is also and important and practical reason for this design. There are a lot of vehicles, mainly Pick-Ups and closed vans, whose rear doors cannot be opened when a trailer is attached to it. The upright handle of the prior coupling head prevents access to the loading compartment. Although, this can also be useful, if a stranger wants to steal something at a stop light, this prevents it. On the other hand it is inconvenient if the driver just wants to put away for example a jacket and cannot do it because of the coupling head. But this is not an issue with the new design. Thanks to its flat design, you can easily close the boot without having to decouple the trailer.
Robust design
It is apparent from the denomination that the WK30 can be used up to 3,000 kg and the WK35 up to 3,500 kg, it is designed for heavier trailers. The bulkier housing truly contains a more durable product that is more resistant to dynamic stress.
