The following interview was made with Imre Vincze, a development engineer at Autóflex-KNOTT, please enjoy.
How long have you been part of the Autóflex-KNOTT Kft. team?
I.V.: I started 8 years ago, on 27 June, on László Day, which coincided with Uncle Laci Langó’s name day, so my first day started with cookies and celebration.
Is this your first job? If not, how did you start your career?
I.V.: Yes, this is my first job. I work as a development engineer, my tasks include prototyping, running test machines, documentation, approval or further development according to market and customer needs. We also fulfil small series samples and individual requirements. By the way, I graduated from GAMF and spent my summer internship here.
What personal motivations do you have?
I.V.: I wanted to continue my career in engineering and the opportunity arose to try my hand at it. My father has been working here for more than 10 years. I want to move up the career ladder, soak up as much knowledge as I can and be as useful to the company as possible.
What do you consider your greatest success at the company?
I.V.: One I would highlight is the full supervision of the big agricultural axle project. I was involved in the design, and since then I have been managing the assembly and liaising with customers. The other is that I am actively involved in the annual US Trailer Parts Show, from designing the display stands to sourcing products and exhibiting at the show. We get positive feedback every year.
Why do you like working at Autóflex-KNOTT Kft.?
I.V.: My job is varied and not monotonous. I always come across new tasks that keep me fresh and give me the opportunity to learn new things.
What is the working atmosphere and teamwork like?
I.V.: The atmosphere is friendly and family-like both at the research plant and at company level. The individual is important for the whole company. Individual problems are listened to and they help us solve them.
How do you recharge when you’re out of the daily grind?
I.V.: I have two small children and I spend most of my free time with my family.
What message would you send to existing and potential colleagues?
I.V.: For those who value a friendly, family environment, working at Autóflex-KNOTT Kft. is perfect. Management looks out for and values colleagues, providing a stable workplace.
