On 16 August 2024, a special event took place at the Vehicle Department of the GAMF Faculty of the Neumann János University. The KEFO Motorsport team presented their latest race car to the public, an innovative vehicle that incorporates significant technological advances. Our company, Autóflex-KNOTT Ltd. was invited to the event, as we have a close cooperation with the team, especially in the production of certain components of the race car.
Innovation and Precision: steering development
One of the most important improvements to the new race car is the steering system, in the development of which our company played a major role. The biggest challenge in machining some of the steering components was precision. The steering shaft and hinge points were designed with tight tolerances. This had to be complemented by very thin washers, also produced in our own turning shop, which further increased the precision and stability of the assembly.
Results of the Cooperation: transport and logistics
Our collaboration with the KEFO Motorsport team is not new. About ten years ago, we also helped to build the special trailer used to transport the racing cars. But time has not been kind to these components, so we have provided the team with a new set of wheels for the 2024 season. This consists of five pieces, including the spare wheels, and we have added a few additional fasteners to ensure smooth transport.

With this new race car, the KEFO Motorsport team is preparing for its next big event, which will take place in Poland at the end of August 2024.
