In today’s interview we talked to Róbert Bártfai, an IT employee of Autóflex- KNOTT, who has been strengthening our team for 4 years. Welcome him!
How long have you been a member of the Autóflex-KNOTT Kft team? How did you find this opportunity?
R.B.: I started working at Autóflex-Knott Kft. in April 2021. My former colleague and friend Dávid Jakab, robot programmer, informed me that they were looking for a colleague to join their team.
Is this your first position here? If not, how did you start your career and how did you get to your current position?
R.B.: Initially I worked as a robot programmer for the company for a little over 3 years. At the beginning of this summer, an opportunity came up to join the IT team and that’s how I came to my current position.
What steps have you taken to develop professionally? Were there any training courses, courses or mentors that were particularly influential for you?
R.B.: In 2019, I applied for a degree in Computer Engineering at John von Neumann University, which I completed without any delays last January, thus obtaining my degree.
During my years at Autoflex, I was also able to take part in Siemens PLC programming courses with the support of the company.
My mentor at the company was Dávid Jakab, with whom we worked a lot together to solve the problems that arose, but of course you can also include the whole programming team, because everyone helped me to get up to speed as quickly as possible. Also, my former superiors, Péter Kozma, Plant Manager and Tamás Sándor, Production Manager, have also had a great influence on me.
What are your personal motivations in your work? What drives you forward in your daily life?
R.B.: I like to improve, I like to face challenges, to solve problems, these are what drive me at work.
What do you consider your greatest professional success at Autóflex-KNOTT Ltd?
R.B.: Probably my biggest success is the development of a software that works for the company. When I first joined Autóflex, if they wanted to call a robot programmer for a welding or packing robot cell, they would do it over the phone. There were several problems with this, background noise, language difficulties, lack of traceability. To solve this, I created a web application where robot cell workers can report their problems, which are immediately displayed on the programmers’ phones. This makes reporting faster and more traceable.
What challenges do you face in your daily work and how do you deal with them?
R.B.: I’m still learning how to manage the local system, there are still many challenges, but with the support of my colleagues and with the right self-discipline, I can successfully deal with the challenges.
Why do you like working at Autóflex-KNOTT Ltd? What values does the company represent for you?
R.B.: The family atmosphere is what makes the company really attractive. Also, the management is constantly looking for opportunities for development and is open to learning new techniques, thus encouraging the employees to improve.
How would you describe the working atmosphere and teamwork? How is the cooperation with your colleagues?
R.B.: Colleagues within the company are open and friendly, so it is easy to work with everyone.
How do you unwind and recharge from the weekdays? What helps you to recharge?
R.B.: My almost 1-year-old son is my daily source of relaxation, but if it’s a race weekend, Formula 1 is also on my schedule and, if I have any energy left, I can take part in online F1 races in the evenings.
What would you say to those who already work here or would like to join Autóflex-KNOTT Ltd?
R.B.: My message to newcomers is that if you want to be part of a truly family-oriented and growing company, feel free to apply to Autóflex!
Thank you to Róbert Bártfai for the interview!
